From at least two to as many as five tournaments in a single day—not including special WSOP and WPT tournament series—there are many opportunities for avid tournament poker players.

Located in Mashantucket, Connecticut, the Foxwoods Poker Room at Foxwoods Resort Casino is the largest on the East Coast with 94 live-action tables featuring various limits and games of hold'em, stud and Omaha. The room runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you will be sure to find a game to fit your need for action.

Along with a variety of cash games and limits, Foxwoods Poker Room also features a 60-table tournament area which hosts a robust schedule of daily and weekly tournaments. The daily events vary in buy-in, generally ranging from $60 up to $230, and one can view the daily tournament schedule on the Foxwoods website.

The room is also home to marquee events such as the Foxwoods World Poker Finals, Mega Stack Challenge, and the Foxwoods Poker Classic. In 2013, Foxwoods held its first World Series of Poker Circuit event.

If that's not enough when it comes to poker tournaments, Foxwoods Poker Room also runs various holiday events. Some of these special events take place on President's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

While playing live-action poker, you have the chance to take part in the Foxwoods Bad Beat Jackpot featuring a Hold'em Jackpot and a Stud Jackpot. To qualify for the Hold'em Bad Beat Jackpot, quad eights or better must be beaten, and for the Stud Bad Beat Jackpot, quad deuces or better must be beaten in order for the jackpot to be awarded. Both jackpots are fully player funded and are progressive.

Foxwoods Resort Casino will host the Card Player Poker Tour Jan. 31 through Feb. 9 and has plenty of offers to benefit tournament players.

Located on the Pequot Indian Reservation in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Foxwoods will host a 13-tournament series complete with a $1,650 no-limit hold’em $300,000 guarantee main event.

Action will get underway with a $600 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee tournament, followed by a $250 no-limit hold’em $20,000 guarantee. Each tournament on the schedule will include a guaranteed prize pool and options range from no-limit hold’em to Omaha eight-or-better and pot-limit Omaha. The schedule also includes a $250 ladies event and a $250 seniors event.

Players participating in any of the tournaments can book rooms at the property’s Two Trees Inn or Great Cedar Hotel for as low as $79 and $119 per night. To book at the Inn, players must use group code #6576. For the Great Cedar Hotel, players must use #5193.

With a player’s card, players can also earn from five to 15 points for playing in the tournaments – $250 event will earn five points, while $300 to $600 events will earn 10 points. Players in the main event will earn 15 points. In the cash games, players will earn $1 for every hour played at the low limits, $1.50 at the middle limits and $2 for every hour at the high-stakes tables.
